A world leader in the design and manufacture of Windows and Doors, their digital transformation project was closer to litigation than launching.
Over a 6 month period I worked to reset expectations at the highest levels and succeeded in securing additional funding to deliver to a revised project scope.
A badly scoped project that had run over schedule by 6 months, without a clear sight of delivery.
I educated all client and agency stakeholders in best practice digital delivery, re-set the scope to be crystal clear and secured additional funding necessary to get the project done.
A poorly scoped project with a fed up client ready to ask for their money back! I came in and re-structured the deal, scope, engagement and processes to get the job delivered. Site launched later that year, client stayed with the agency.
A household name in FMCG products had consistently late digital projects full of technical and content bugs, and no support procedures in place to manage fixes. I created technical & content testing processes and standards, and flew to the off-shore technical team to bed these in, delivering a vital key message: quality is everything.
Quality improved greatly, leading to some of the best bug-free sites the agency had ever delivered for the client (and all the agencies other clients!).
Joined a large media organisation and shortly realised there was no defined process between departments for existing or new staff to follow.
I set in place new process across the whole of agency to ensure things got done right.
This agency had no formal tools to accurately estimate digital or creative projects, hence most
(all) went way over budget.
I devised a suite of user friendly estimating tools for Account Service and Project Managers to use for accuracy in forecasting and project estimating.
These tools covered large complex web builds, dynamic creative campaigns, banner & eDM production, Video content creation and other services.
Created briefing templates for an agency in Sydney that didn't have a history in design, technical development or creative work.
These helped all agency stakeholders to collaborate closely with the client to define what was needed in their campaigns.
The devil is in the detail, and with these new online briefing templates, the detail was captured as a source of truth, for projects to be estimated and run with commercial (and client!) confidence.
Sometimes, the only choice is to exit or call Force Majeure.
A tiny budget and a 4 page proposal for a very simple blog had been caught in a vortex of constant change requests (with no additional funding).
I steered a swift exit, ensuing other stakeholders impact was minimised.
